Cracked Windshield? Don't Risk It: 5 Serious Dangers
Why a Cracked or Chipped Windshield is a Big Deal

A chipped or cracked windshield might seem like a minor inconvenience, but it can pose serious risks to your safety and the safety of others on the road. Ignoring this seemingly small issue could have significant consequences.
Don't Let a Crack Compromise Your Safety: The Dangers of a Chipped or Cracked Windshield
- Small Problems Become Headaches: A small chip in your windshield might seem harmless, but those seemingly insignificant imperfections can quickly turn into a full-blown crack if left untreated.
- Impaired Vision: Even a small chip or crack can distort your vision, especially at night or in bright sunlight. This can lead to reduced visibility, making it difficult to react to hazards on the road.
- Weakened Structural Integrity: Your windshield is an essential part of your car's safety structure. A crack compromises its strength, making it more likely to shatter in an accident, increasing the risk of injury.
- Increased Risk of Accident: Distorted vision and reduced structural integrity can both contribute to accidents. A collision caused by a cracked windshield can lead to more severe injuries due to the potential for shattered glass.
- Possible Penalties: In Michigan you may be pulled over for a cracked or chipped windshield if law enforcement deems the vehicle as being in an unsafe condition on the roadways.
